There are few things more momentous in a kid’s life than their first birthday. I got to capture that special memory for little Cora and her parents, on her actual birthday!
We spent the birthday session running around Bicentennial Park at Sydney Olympic Park. Cora had just learned to walk — another exciting first! — and was more than eager to run around and play for the camera.
I had captured her parents’, Ena and David’s wedding in 2020 at the NSW Marriage Registry in Chippendale. Their wedding reception was booked for 2021, but later canceled due to the COVID restrictions at the time. No longer just a couple, the young family was due for some birthday and Christmas photos!
Bicentennial Park is one of my favourite places in the west for taking family photos. The lush parklands and myriad of different locations offer ample opportunity to get the perfect shots and capture a family in a way that feels natural for everyone. Not to mention, the range of recreational facilities and playgrounds help keep kids entertained before and after the session, too!
